Housing Charges


The Co-operative is subject to the Housing Services Act and Regulations (HSA). Members of the public wishing to apply or rent-geared-to-income housing must apply with  Housing Connections. All of the rules and regulations regarding applying for rent-geared-to-income assistance will be provided by Housing Connections, acting as the agent for the waiting list management for rent-geared-to-income housing in the City of Toronto. Housing Connections will provide information regarding criteria for rent-geared-to-income assistance, occupancy standards, special priority households, waiting lists, transfers and the rules of the rules and regulations regarding types of decisions subject to internal reviews and their process.

The Co-operative administers the rent-geared-to-income program for members that live in the building. The Co-operative must follow the rules and regulations regarding the rent-geared-to-income assistance as determined by the Housing Services Act, the City of Toronto and the Co-operative's own By-law as part of its own internal governing structure in compliance with the rules and regulations as set out in the Housing Services Act.

For the Co-operative, this by-law specifically addresses the rules and processes for internal waiting lists, occupancy standards, guests, required transfers, special needs eligibility, opportunity to comment and internal reviews for members on rent-geared-to-income assistance. Members that take occupancy will receive copies of all the by-laws of the organization at key pick-up. Members of the public that wish to receive this information or ocpies of any of the by-laws of the Co-operative must make their request in writing and pay the applicable costs for the copies. The Co-operative will provide the copies of the requestes by-laws within 10 business days on receipt of payment.
